Victorian Platter
These lace and beetle plates were inspired by the Victorian era. They had an obsession with details and a fascination with insects. I once read where their beautifully ornate homes also house small creatures behind all those little details. This series of lace and bug decoration stems from that story. The vintage lace is embossed into the dark clay and filled in with porcelain. The insects are hand painted and carved. Hand formed platter measuring 5 1/2” x 10” and sits on a foot to elevate. Top of platter is clear glazed in a food safe glaze. Dish washer safe too!
